90 days of Grace AI: 4x increase in lead generation & more

In August, we launched Grace AI, a voice advisor that universities embed on their websites. The concept emerged from a simple observation: admissions teams are overwhelmed, and students need immediate answers. Grace guides prospective students through the admissions process at any hour – even 2 AM.

After 90 days of pilots at US universities, three findings stood out:

4x increase in lead generation

Grace generated 4x more leads than our WhatsApp platform, where prospects chat with real students and staff. We didn't expect this pattern. Students appear to prefer instant guidance over waiting for responses.

It also points to an interesting trend: candidates are more comfortable sharing their personal experiences and requirements with Grace, because they know there’s no possibility of judgement on the other side.

Productivity tool for admissions teams

Admissions teams are stretched thin across the US. A mid-sized graduate program handling 100 inquiries in 50 days would traditionally spend between 33 to 50 hours on initial conversations alone. Grace is now handling these first touchpoints, freeing up nearly a week of work time for deeper candidate engagement.

After this touchpoint, our Inbox Agents filter high-intent leads and send them directly to your inbox.

Students are comfortable engaging with AI

Grace responds in 0.7 seconds and sounds like a human. What fascinates us is how students interact with her. They say "thank you," ask follow-up questions, and engage in genuine dialogue. They know she's AI but treat her with the same courtesy they'd extend to a human advisor.

Looking ahead, in the next couple of weeks we're laser-focused on two things: enhancing Grace's capabilities (soon, prospects will be able to schedule meetings during their conversations) and launching at two new US universities.
